I Saw The Figure 5 in Gold

"I Saw The Figure 5 in Gold" (1928)
by Charles Demuth (1883-1935)

inspired by
The Great Figure (1921)
by William Carlos Williams (1883-1963)

Among the rain
and lights
I saw the figure 5
in gold
on a red
fire truck
moving
tense
unheeded
to gong clangs
siren howls
and wheels rumbling
through the dark city

Charles Demuth created his painting in response to William Carlos Williams' poem, based on a firetruck roaring down the street.
Anyone want to try this exercise in reverse?

Here's a picture taken yesterday... there's a model train station set up here, and it's fascinating problem to try to make something not real, look real. The light can really help a scene come to life.
